I am about to have my 3rd son and this is my first bassinet. After reading all the reviews on it, I went ahead and ordered it along with an extra bassinet pad. I absolutely LOVE it! It's a beige color with soft green trim. Perfect for unisex. I agree the only downfall is the original pad is paper thin. We ordered an extra one and put it under the original one. The bassinet is a little bigger then your avg bassinet so the pad is a little bit small, but with a small blanket around the sides as an added bumper, it adds that extra bit of sturdy, even cusion without having to worry about your baby suffocating from having a bunch of blankets under the pad. My husband had no problem assembling the bassinet. The wheels are a little squeaky, but that's an easy fix with some WD40 or something. The mobile animals are not all the same. Ours were little white sheep, but from what I understand there are different mobiles. It's just luck of the draw. The bassinet also has 5 different height settings. The tallest one is actually quite high, perfect for dads who don't want to bend down to try and change the little one, or for parents who have tall beds. We are expecting our baby any time now and I can't wait to use it! My two year old is already fascinated with it! I definitely recommend this for any parent (new or experienced). But definitely get an extra pad for it. I have seen many different places sell this particular bassinet, so if you can't get it here, look around. JCPenney sells it for sure (and they will ship it). Enjoy!

I recieved my bassinet yesturday and I love it! My husband put it together for me last night with some difficulty. This product is very large and seems durable. It makes me all the more anxious to have my baby come! Thank you Target!

I highly recommend this product for all moms, nursing or not! I looked at and researched every bassinet and co-sleeper out there, reading all reviews available, and visiting multiple websites. This is the best baby purchase (along with the Baby Bjorn carrier) that I have made! It had the best quality and options for the price. However, I would now pay twice as much for it after experiencing how useful and convienient it is. It was relatively easy for me to assemble (though it did take me a little while, probably about 1.5-2 hours--instructions could be a bit better), is very sturdy, and cute too! The height options are great, and there is even a little pouch that you can attach to the side of it. The electronic unit is very basic: I haven't found the music or vibrating to be very effective with calming my child, but it is nice to have the option. (The night light is nice). I just had my 2nd child (2 months old), and my other son is 1.5 years old. Sleep is very important for me to keep up with them! Using this bassinet as a co-sleeper, I never have to leave my bed during the night in order to check on my baby or to nurse. I can turn over and see him right there, and with some careful maneuvering, pick him up and bring him into bed with me to nurse, without even sitting up. I'm getting much more sleep this time around! With my first son, he was in a regular crib from day 1--I was up and down all night to nurse him and check on him periodically. After a month or so of interrupted sleep, I was scared to get up and get my baby in the middle of the night; I was so tired and exhausted that the room would spin as I was walking back and forth from crib to bed or couch. I worried that I would stumble and drop him! I've loved it so much, I'm going to purchase another one as a gift to my sister who's due soon. I also use the 3-1 delux positioner (don't remember the brand) that Target sells online ($19.99), which tilts him up just a bit to help with reflux and to avoid getting a flat head (it has pads that also prevent the baby from rolling over). It puts him up a bit higher so I can really see him well in the bassinet from my bed (the bassinet mattress rests about 3 inches or so below the side opening). No flat head yet! I can't praise this product enough: Great quality, useful, attractive, etc. It is much better-looking than the Arm's Reach co-sleepers (which I was about to purchase till I found this), yet costs less, and is convertible into a regular, cute, free-standing bassinet. The pouch underneath is also handy, and I love that there are wheels so I can roll it around. But most of all I cannot put a price on the extra sleep, rest, and peace of mind it has allowed me to have. Having a baby seems a lot easier this time around, in part b/c of this bassinet! To be able to say that while also chasing around my very energetic and demanding one-year old this time around, is a very big deal. I wouldn't trade this bassinet for anything!!!! If you are considering purchasing this, go ahead! I'm sure you will not be dissappointed!

I bought this bassinett when I was pregnant with my second baby. I knew I was having another c-section and would want to minimize trips up and down the stairs. After checking out all availible styles and prices, I decided on this one. It is a great value for the money-- and I am REALLY pickey! It has been invaluable to us as a bed during the day for our son, a great changing table, and also a great place to store all the extra clothes you use to frequently change your baby throughout the day! I also think it is great because it is very mobile and light. We have a pool and it is easy to move outside or to have close-by inside. Also, I really like the style with the huge storage basket below it and the hanging hearts and bears. My now 2-month-old loves to look at them. If you are looking for a simple bassinett that won't cost an arm and a leg, this is the one for you!

My baby isn't due until 8/24/04, so I don't know how s/he will like the bassinet, but I love it! It only took my husband a little over an hour to put together, and the finished product is so nice! It seems pretty sturdy as well. The only thing that is slightly misleading is the color--on the website it appears beige & cream, it is really brown & cream! But thank goodness it still matched my decor; and is suitable for both a boy or girl.
